TOUCH-A-TRUCK TOURNAMENT
Ely, Nevada - Sahara Motors of Ely, and The White Pine Chamber of Commerce, are pleased to announce the inaugural TOUCH-A-TRUCK TOURNAMENT, a unique competition that will allow one lucky person to get their hands on a pre-owned 2022 Dodge Ram SLT Crew Cab 4x4 valued at $29,000!
This endurance challenge pits players against each other in a contest of grit, stamina, and sheer will power. Taking place in Ely, Nevada during 4th of July weekend, anyone 18 or older can take their chance to be one of fifty (50) contestants assembled to put a hand on the truck to outlast their competition. The only goal: Be the last one with a hand on the $29,000 Grand Prize.
Could you stand longer than 49 other determined challengers? Could you hold on to the dream of a FREE truck? Could you withstand the elements, the pressure, the pains, or the need to pee? Touch-A-Truck will be similar to the famous “Hands-On-A-Hardbody”, the 1995 competition in Longview, Texas which lasted for seventy-seven continuous hours. This Tournament will also celebrate Ely, Nevada as a must visit destination during 4th of July, with a star-spangled parade through Downtown, a huge community party in the park, complete with food trucks, vendors, games, live music, and more.
$50 entries are available for purchase between February 1st and June 27, 2025.

Fortune will favor the brave. Perseverance and resolute tenacity will win the Truck. A live drawing will take place following the end of business on June 27, 2025 to announce the group of 50 contestants, all of whom will be contacted to ensure they start in Ely, following the conclusion of the July 4th parade. Contestants must be in place ready to go prior to the start of the clock at 1:00 pm. Over the long haul, contestants will receive 15 minute breaks every five hours. Should no one winner be left standing by midnight on July 7th, the remaining contestants will resort to a best-of-three rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors, with the victor then winning the Tournament and the truck.
